A super easy side for a weeknight. The broccolini flowers are tender and add a slight floral flavor thats light and tasty!
1 Tbs. extra-virgin olive oil
1 bunch broccolini, trimmed of tough stems
Salt, to taste
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
2 Tbs. chopped shallots
1 Tbs. chopped garlic
2 Tbs. water
In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil. Add, in this order, the broccolini, salt, red pepper flakes, shallots, garlic and water. Cover the pan and cook until the broccolini is tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
